Congratulations on your blogger's award because you truly deserve it. I'm truly grateful I tumbled across your blog because I can relate to you in so many ways. I too, write letters to my daughters, although they are still too young to even understand complete sentences. I haven't written much yet, but I do plan on writing as much as I can so I can collect and pass it onto them one day.

We may not be your typical 'mommy bloggers' but I'm tempted to say that we are just as active (if not more) in our children's lives. BTW, do you also have two daughters?

I was so happy when I found your blog again. How do we loose each other? Guess that whole damn AOL thing. Anyway, I have always enjoyed and marveled at the apparent ease you have to reach out and touch with words. The suggestion to write and tell someone why you enjoy their writing is brilliant in it's simplicity!! I love snail mail too. Nothing beats the feeling of opening up the mail box and extracting a hand addressed envelope! I love giving that jolt to someone. Nothing says love like a hand written letter or note.

<abbr><em>mary’s last blog post..<a href="http://contrarywoman.blogspot.com/2009/04/where-did-all-god-men-go.html" rel="nofollow">Where did all the good men go?</a></abbr></em>

The nominations were my pleasure to make ... and I meant every word in the description. Your blog is deserving of the nominations and worthy of the award (yes, even the HOT Mommies one, wear it like a badge of honor!).

The most insightful and eloquent writer this side of the new millenium. Not kidding..

Best, Judith Ann(e)

(Chuckling) I was honestly going to keep a straight face until Mary brought up the MILF then I lost it. In any event whatever awards your given dear friend are in high regards to the wonderful person you are. Writing I think for us both is a lifeline, a pulse that flows through us - without it I flouder and look for an escape that isn't there.

I'll go visit the site and definitely put in my nomination. As for the awards...Uhm...yeah...I don't do so well in that dept. myself. I recently deleted all the ones at the bottom of my blog. Not that I don't appreciate them...I just want my words to stand out for themselves. I wouldn't display trophies if I won them either. I'm truly no good in the acceptance speech dept. so it's just as well (winks)...I'm off....(Hugs)Indigo

I've been awarded a few since I started blogging again,no hot mommie, I assure you, and I felt a little like a heel not posting them or awarding out...but it's not my sort of thing.

When I was a teen I bought my Mom one of those BEST MOM EVER awards for Mother's Day and she said: Pick me flowers in the vibrating breeze instead. It is one of those things I'll always remember, and I use that on people(like Amelia)at times. So maybe Mom planted the seed for award aversion. ~Mary

ps But a Hot Mommie? Is that a take off of a MILF?

Thank you Beth!!
And since I'm Short on time, I'll just say, I'll be back shortly after I've thought of something in regard to the shortcomings of my sycamore shyness mentality.
