First, I hope you do continue to blog, if not daily, at least a couple of times a week. It's selfish, but I like to read your thoughts! I've been very impressed with this whole 30 day/30 entry thing, maybe even enough to give it a try. I, like you, have been a very sporadic blogger. I often think, "Hey, that would make a good entry.", but by the time I sit down to do it, it just seems lame, or I don't write it soon enough, then it is just old news. I do spurts of several entries, then you get a month or so dry spell. However, you have inspired me. I'm actually considering giving this a try in May..... Maybe... If I don't chicken out. LOL! It would help if my life wasn't so boring ;p I guess I could fall back on posting pictures on any day I can't come up with a topic!

My hat is off to you. So far. I certainly have difficulty blogging regularly these days. An entry a day for thirty days? I'd find it awfully tough. But keep poking me, maybe I'll attempt it one of these months.

Wow, just like the Energizer Bunny, the amazing Rebecca just keeps going and going and going. Not that I didn't expect to see you sticking to your blog-a-day goal, but, still..."WOW!" And let's face it, your posts are no little 'nothings' to talk about, they are sincerely good, thoughtful, interesting posts. If anyone makes my jaw drop in amazement, Rebecca, it's most definitely you! I guess that's why what I'm going to say next makes a whole lotta' sense; you, (you Blogging Goddess, you, lol) have received an award, please stop by The Cluttered Bubble and pick it up at whatever time works best for you.

Wishing you all the best. Keep up the AWESOME work! ;-)

Okay...so I wrote about taxation today. I...just...had...to....

I think I might have mentioned that I did a similar challenge some time ago, and I think it was about a year after I started blogging. I think it became mostly a daily thing after that. And Mary is right--not everyone wants to or needs to be a daily blogger. After your month is up, decide where you want to go from there. You might find that you enjoy getting the words out of your brain and onto the page.

Debra recently posted a couple of entries about Stephen King's book On Writing. One of the things I always remember him saying (or writing) is that you need to practice. Write write write, practice practice practice. I've found that the more you write, the easier it flows.

Actually, I've liked this daily bit this month. It's more unscripted and kind of like we are just neighbors sharing a beer or glass of wine in the back yard as the burgers (and smoked salmon) gets ready, just chatting away.

And thanks for the shout out linkage:)

In the beginning of my AOL days blogging on a somewhat daily dose was attempted. That didn't last long. As Mary said not everyone is cut out for a daily blog. There is a difference between journaling and writing a diary - more often than not people confuse the two.

Write and give them a glimpse of your life, ideas, joy and sorrow. However keep some of the mystery to keep them coming back. I don't want to know what someone is cooking for dinner or a minute by minute detailed escapade of their day. Honestly I'm not that invested in someone else like that, unless I'm living with them.

You however have catapulted yourself forward with a daily dose of Rebecca. I don't find you tedious, repetive or boring and that is a very good thing indeed.

By the way - Thanks! You above all have caught the essence of my last post. Then again I didn't expect any less. (winks) (Yay! your halfway through!) (Hugs)Indigo

A daily blogger? Please. I had my moments where I wrote five or so posts a day, three or four times a week, but one a day for a whole month? Not so likely.

Oh, and I think I'm starting up again. You know the address!

I don't think most people need to become daily bloggers, and I know I don't need or want to read each person on a daily basis. Just because it is indelibly imprinted on your memory card doesn't mean I want to read about it every day.
(yes, I realize I don't have to read)

I think some bloggers can pull daily off, and you are probably one of them. But some can't hold a crowd's daily interest & for still others it becomes their life and I think they "write toward" that. Toward their audience, or toward an audience they want to have.

When we were on AOL someone who was posting about every other day used to email & ask if I was ok if I didn't comment. Yeah, I'm fine, but there is only so much I want to read about your life.

Please don't encourage every soccer mom to do this.
;-O

I've read more than half of what you've posted so far & a long while ago I used to read almost all of Marc's as well, but the 2 of you are writers more than blog writers(to me).A little different.~Mary
